Marcavelly Captures G3 Transylvania Stakes in the Snow

Marcavelly (Johannesburg -- Dark Jewel, by Majestic Light) raced through the snow at Keeneland to win the G3 Central Bank Transylvania Stakes by 3 1/2 lengths on Friday. The three-year-old colt moved to the front at the top of the stretch and drew clear of rivals to capture his first 2007 start under energetic hand urging. Marcavelly has now placed first or second in each of his five lifetime starts and has earned $227,480.
