Middleweight Victorious in Barksdale Handicap

Middleweight (Grand Slam -- Dusty Gloves, by Run Dusty Run) rallied with a five wide trip to capture the Barksdale Handicap at Lousiana Downs on Saturday. The seven-year-old gelding won the 1 mile test on the turf by a nose, notching the eighth victory of his career.
