Grand Minit Wins Pola Benoit Memorial Stakes by 2 1/2

Grand Minit (Grand Slam -- Minit Towinit, by Malagra) took over during the stretch drive to win the Pola Benoit Memorial Stakes by 2 1/2 lengths at Evangeline Downs on Saturday. The four-year-old gelding proved clearly best as he won for the fourth time in his career, pushing his earnings to more than $187,000.
