Fastnet Rock Colt Stars at Perth MM

A colt by first season sire Fastnet Rock proved the star attraction on Saturday night during the second session of the Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale when he was knocked down for $280,000.

Secured by leading West Australian trainer Wally Mitchell on behalf of stable client Santoso Wirya, the colt was presented for sale by Gervase Park Stud.

Offered as Lot 202, he is the fifth foal of the Group Three placed Volksraad mare Huka, the dam of two foals to race both winners.

A champion sprinter and son of sire of sires Danehill, Fastnet Rock was a sensation in New Zealand at their 2008 NZB Premier Yearling Sale and his stock are sure to be in keen demand at the major sales throughout the Australian sales season.
