New Stakes-Winner for Giant’s Causeway

The Group Three Alysheba Stakes at Churchill Downs on Friday was won in good style by improving entire Giant Gizmo (4h Giant’s Causeway x Golden Antigua, by Hansel), who posted his first Black Type success.

A home bred for Frank Stronach, Giant Gizmo settled in fifth place before powering home in the stretch to win the 1 and 1/16th mile event by three and three-quarter lengths.

Prepared by Bobby Frankel, Giant Gizmo has won five of 10 starts earning $268,685 and becomes the 42nd stakes-winner worldwide for outstanding sire Giant’s Causeway.

Giant Gizmo is from the stakes-winning Hansel mare Golden Antigua from the family of triple Group One winner Mi Selecto.

Giant Gizmo is bred on the highly successful cross Giant’s Causeway x Mr Prospector cross which has produced six of his 10 Group One winners to date.
