New Stakes-Winner for Giant’s Causeway

The Group Three Alysheba Stakes at Churchill Downs on Friday was won in good style by improving entire Giant Gizmo (4h Giant’s Causeway x Golden Antigua, by Hansel), who posted his first Black Type success.A home bred for Frank Stronach, Giant Gizmo settled in fifth place before powering home in the stretch to win the 1 and 1/16th mile event by three and three-quarter lengths.
Prepared by Bobby Frankel, Giant Gizmo has won five of 10 starts earning $268,685 and becomes the 42nd stakes-winner worldwide for outstanding sire Giant’s Causeway.
Giant Gizmo is from the stakes-winning Hansel mare Golden Antigua from the family of triple Group One winner Mi Selecto.
Giant Gizmo is bred on the highly successful cross Giant’s Causeway x Mr Prospector cross which has produced six of his 10 Group One winners to date.
