Athena's Gift Breaks Maiden at Woodbine

Athena's Gift (Fusaichi Pegasus -- Russian Bride, by Saratoga Six) rallied in the stretch to take a $72,600 maiden special weight at Woodbine on Wednesday. The three-year-old filly, owned by Cinnamont Stable and bred by Hubert Vester, started from post position 12 in the one-mile test on the turf, and split foes at the top of the stretch to set up her winning run.
