First Stakes Success for Victorianna

26th May 2008

Tale of the Cat continued his red hot run with another new stakes-winner in the shape of consistent mare Victorianna (4m Tale of the Cat x Savanna Anna, by Vice Regent), who saluted in the Fit for a Queen Stakes at Arlington on the all weather track.

The Eddie Kenneally trained mare took the six and a half furlong sprint by a length and a quarter improving her overall record to four wins and four placings from 10 starts with prizemoney of $125,502.

A $250,000 purchase from the 2005 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, Victorianna is a half-sister to Group Two winners Time Limit and Miss Indy Anna being from the good producing Vice Regent mare Savanna Anna.

Victorianna is one of six North American stakes-winners for Tale of the Cat this year joining Group One winner Tale of Ekati along with Tytus, Meal Penalty, Ashley’s Kitty and Jolie the Cat.
