50th Stakes-Winner for Giant
14th September 2008
Regally bred filly Dreamtheimpossible (2f Giant’s Causeway x Spain, by Thunder Gulch) improved on a debut second at Naas to post her first stakes success when taking out the Listed Flame of Tara Stakes at The Curragh on Saturday. The David Wachman trained filly settled off the pace and swept to the lead with a furlong to run in the mile event, beating the hot favourite Forest Storm (2f Galileo x Quiet Storm by Desert Prince) by a length in very heavy conditions.
"She's one for the middle of next summer, as she's very big," trainer David Wachman told PA Sport.
"That was a really nice performance, as she will have hated that ground."
Raced by Susan Magnier and Michael Tabor, Dreamtheimpossible is a three-quarter sister to Irish Group Three winner Plan being from the former outstanding mare Spain, a winner of nine races and $3.5 million including the Group One Breeders Cup Distaff.
Dreamtheimpossible has the distinction of being the 50th stakes-winner worldwide for champion racehorse and outstanding sire Giant’s Causeway, who is currently the leading sire of individual stakes-winners in North America this year.
