Eclipse Award-winning juvenile. By sires of sires Deputy Minister. Out of a mare by Secretariat - like other leading sires Storm Cat, A.P. Indy and Gone West. 2nd Leading Sire in the USA in 2002 behind only El Prado. Sire of  millionaires Take Charge Lady a G1 winner and G2 winner Graeme Hall, also a G2 winner Soto.

Fee for 2008: US$ 17,500

The RAISE A NATIVE line provided much of Dehere's success during his previous time in the U.S. Dehere sired his Gr.2 winner Belle of Perintown from a daughter of MR. PROSPECTOR and he also sired Graded winners from mares by CRAFTY PROSPECTOR (Graeme Hall and Soto), GONE WEST (Shooter) and UNREAL ZEAL (Here's Zealous). He also has a couple of Graded-placed winners out of mares by FORTY NINER. The FAPPIANO branch merits serious consideration. Dehere sired the three-time Gr.1 winner Take Charge Lady from a mare by RUBIANO. This points to mares by UNBRIDLED, UNBRIDLED'S SONG, CRYPTOCLEARANCE and QUIET AMERICAN. GONE WEST mares merit serious consideration as they have produced Graded winners to three different sons of Deputy Minister. Other sons of Deputy Minister have sired Graded winners from mares by several sons of Mr. Prospector, including CONQUISTADOR CIELO, CRAFTY PROSPECTOR, FAPPIANO, FORTY NINER and TANK'S PROSPECT.
The ALYDAR branch also holds great possibilities, judging by the record of other sons of Deputy Minister with mares from this line. Deputy Commander sired the top-class Ten Most Wanted from a CRIMINAL TYPE mare; Silver Deputy has a Graded winner out of an EASY GOER mare; and Awesome Again has two Graded winners out of daughters of TURKOMAN, plus a Gr.1 winner out of a SARATOGA SIX mare. Dehere's smart son Easyfromthegitgo is also out of an EASY GOER mare.
Mares by A.P. INDY, GONE WEST and STORM CAT produce 3x4 inbreeding to the great SECRETARIAT. Mares by their sons, such as PULPIT, GRAND SLAM, MR. GREELEY, ELUSIVE QUALITY, HENNESSY and TALE OF THE CAT all create 3x5 to Secretariat, and some of them produce two lines to Northern Dancer.
Inbreeding to DAMASCUS is worth considering, as Dehere sired the very talented Arrested Dreams from a TIMELESS MOMENT mare, creating 4x3 to Damascus. Dehere's Gr.3 winner Shooter is inbred 4x3 to Damascus. Deputy Minister's 2007 Gr.1 winner Miss Shop is out of a PRIVATE ACCOUNT mare.
It is encouraging that his sire, Deputy Minister, has several good winners which are inbred to NORTHERN DANCER, including the Gr.1 winners Fabulously Fast and Touch Gold, who are inbred 3x3, and Keeper Hill, who is inbred 3x4. This opens the door to the popular STORM CAT, DANZIG, DIXIELAND BAND, NIJINSKY and NUREYEV branches. Deputy Minister did well with ALLEGED mares and his son Awesome Again sired the Gr.1 winner Composure from one. Other RIBOT line mares provided Silver Deputy with Silverbulletday and Touch Gold with Midas Eyes. A PLEASANT COLONY mare produced the Gr.2 winner Latour to French Deputy. Deputy Minister sired Awesome Again from a BLUSHING GROOM mare, and Blushing Groom sired the second dam of Dehere's top daughter Take Charge Lady. Dehere also has talented performers out of mares by BLUSHING GROOM and his sons MT. LIVERMORE and PRE EMPTIVE STRIKE, while Silver Deputy sired Posse from a RAHY mare.
Other sons of Deputy Minister sired the brilliant Ghostzapper and the Gr.2 winner House Party from mares by RELAUNCH. Dehere is one of two sons of Deputy Minister to have sired a Graded winner from daughters of COX'S RIDGE.
SLEW O'GOLD is the broodmare sire of French Deputy's top daughter Mayo On The Side and Dehere has two good winners with Slew O'Gold as their broodmare sire. He also has a Gr.2-placed winner out of a mare by SEATTLE SLEW, a broodmare sire who did well with other sons of Deputy Minister. Silver Deputy also had a Gr.1 winner out of a SLEW CITY SLEW mare.
COZZENE sired the dam of Awesome Again¹s Gr.1 winner Toccet and his daughters should also suit Dehere. Mares by MEADOWLAKE have produced stakes horses, including two Graded winners, to at least six sons of Deputy Minister, so ought to suit Dehere.
